Ra one set a new record at the box office with its world wide release bagging 22 crore!The film was released on diwali and it was indeed a cracker at the box office.Almost 70% of the tickets were booked in advance.However the film got mixed responses.Some say it is a visual treat while others say it is not even upto 10% of Rajnikanth's hit Robot or Enthiran.

The 145 crore Budget film was released on more than 3200 theatres across india.Every multiplexes had around more than 15 shows a day and the ticket prize was 20% higher which also added upto the substantial rice in the collection.
