Owners of small businesses often carry out these tasks on their own but employers from large ventures don’t have enough time for these weary tasks where you have to surf the net, find the particular information and copy paste it. This process takes time and thus they employ the right person for their work from freelance websites, paying generously; an advantage to the data-entry operator.

While doing data entry, you may be given many projects where you have to fill a large number of online forms. All the data that has to be plugged in will already be provided with clear instructions. You will have to visit the sites given and manually fill in the forms.

Other operations include image editing and organizing a set of data. You will probably be given some images of importance to the company and you will be asked to edit the images in a way they want through any image editor. For e.g. a company asks you to delete the watermark in 150 pictures given to you using Adobe Photoshop. This also takes time but is highly rewarded by the employers. On the other hand, you might be given some unmanaged data on an excel spreadsheet and your task would be to organize it in a manner that is accepted by the company. You may be even asked to plot the data yourself and then organize it using a MS Excel spreadsheet.

For making data entry tasks fast, you should increase your typing speed to a maximum, so that more time is saved. Other than that you can use free 3^rd party tools available on the internet to help you in these data entry jobs. Other types of data entry jobs are also available at freelancing websites. These take time to complete but are favored relatively above other freelancing jobs as they require no particular skill or talent and any one is able to do them. In addition, they are easy and highly paid.

delhi gang rape :medical student battles for life,3 accused held

 In a new low for a city already notorious as India's rape capital, a 23-year-old physiotherapy student was left battling for her lifeafter being brutally beaten up and raped by at least five drunken men in a private bus which was audaciously driven around south Delhi localities on Sunday night even as the crime was being committed inside.

The unconscious victim and her male friend, who too was badly beaten, were stripped and thrown off near the Mahipalpur flyover on NH-8 after being assaulted for almost an hour. They were picked up around 9.15pm, a time when many Delhiites are still out in the city.

The woman is on ventilator support, doctors at Safdarjung Hospital said. On Monday, she underwent a four-hour surgery. Doctors said her intestines had ruptured and she had genital injuries. Her friend, a 27-year-old engineer who was preparing to take the civil services exam, however, helped the police in preparing sketches of the accused.

Late on Monday, police arrested one of alleged rapists, Ram Singh, a resident of R K Puram Sector 3. Singh was the driver of the bus but on Sunday had let his brother, Mukesh, drive, police said. Singh has reportedly given cops the names of the six other men in the bus on Sunday night. Mukesh and another accused, identified as Kalu, too were nabbed late at night. All three lived in Ravidas Camp slums at sector 3, R K Puram.

Google Currents Is Now More 'Current' With Breaking News

Google has updated its Google Currents social news reading app to make it easier to find breaking news and browse content from multiple sources.

Similar to Flipboard, Pulse and Zite, Google Currents is an aggregator of various publications presented in a way more akin to reading a magazine rather than an RSS feed.

On its Android blog, Google outlined some of the biggest changes to Currents.

Structurally, Google Currents now organizes editions (Google's term for publications) into category groups. That means Mashable shows up in Science and Technology, whereasTVGuide.com shows up in Entertainment.

Google has also made it easier to swipe through various editions. Vertical swipes show the headlines and an image of the story and you can easily see what you want to read.

The biggest change to the app, however, is that users can now browse through breaking news in various categories. For breaking news, Google says it uses some of the same technology as Search to populate the categories. From my tests, the breaking news stuff tended to look verysimilar to Google News in terms of content and ranking.

60% of Smartphone Owners Would Cast Their Ballot on a Mobile App [STUDY]

Would you cast your Election Day ballot on a mobile app? Then you’re among the 60% of smartphone owners who think it’s a good idea, according to a new study.

Internet radio smartphone app Stitcher surveyed 2,129 American adults, 1,024 of whom are smartphone owners, and found that more than half of smartphone owners would make their Election Day choices on an app if it were possible to do so (it’s not).

Breaking down the numbers, Stitcher found that Democrats are more willing to vote with an app than Republicans, 54% to 47%. As might be expected, younger voters are more likely to approve of mobile voting. Men are also more likely than women to be willing to vote with an app by a slim margin of 49% to 47%.

Stitcher also found that 41% of smartphone and tablet owners are getting more information about the 2012 election via mobile apps, social media and web browsing than they did four years ago.

iOS 6 Is Out Now: Here’s What to Do First

Apple is starting to roll out iOS 6 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The new version of the OS brings lots of new features — including Apple’s brand new Maps app, deep integration with Facebook and enhancements to Siri.

As with iOS 5, Apple is making the the update available as an over-the-air (OTA) download. If you don’t have access to the download now, check again in a few minutes.

Users will also have the option of upgrading from within iTunes, if you prefer that method.

Before downloading and installing the update, there are a few housekeeping items you might want to take care of first.

• Download the latest version of iTunes 10.7 — This will add iOS 6 compatibility to your software
• Back up your photos and important files. Even if you use iCloud, consider doing a full backup in iTunes, just in case.
• If you don’t already have a copy of your contacts and calendars on your Mac or PC, go ahead and back those up too.
• Find your power. Apple won’t let you update your device if you don’t have a minimum amount of power. The updates are fairly large, at over 500MB per device — so go ahead and plug into some power before starting the update.

Apple tends to do fairly well with OTA updates but problems can happen. If you don’t need to have iOS 6 right this second, waiting a few hours for the update isn’t a bad idea.

Man Arrested for ESPN Comments About Murdering Kids

A man who allegedly posted comments about murdering kids on ESPN.com was arrested in Los Angeles County Tuesday and remains in police custody on $1 million bail, the Associated Press reports.

Eric Yee, a 21-year-old former Yale University student, posted that he was watching children and not opposed to the idea of killing them, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials say. He was arrested after ESPN flagged the posts, which were made in the comments section of an article about Nike’s new LeBron James signature sneakers. Fans and media have speculated that the sneakers’ high price tag — $270 per pair — could lead to kids killing one another over the shoes.

Police found several guns at the home Yee shared with his parents in Santa Clarita, Calif. He was arrested for investigation of making terrorist threats, the AP reports, and bail was set so high because of the found weapons and his home’s location near two schools.

While a raft of headlines around the web mentioning ESPN and threats against children clearly aren’t what thesports media giant considers a desirable situation, the episode actually makes ESPN look good. How? Public proof that it moderates the thousands upon thousands of comments its site receives each day.

“We closely monitor the message boards and anytime we get a threat, we’re alerting law enforcement officials,” ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys told the AP.

Yee was arrested after employees at ESPN’s Connecticut headquarters alerted law enforcement officials there, who then tracked the ESPN.com comments to Yee and located where he posted them from. Los Angeles County officers then arrested him after conducting surveillance on his parents’ house and obtaining a search warrant.

unable to redeem monsoon promotion gift on ebay is ebay cheating customers

Ebay had launched a monsoon promotion gift offer on june with gifts ranging from pen drive to Ipad3!I had bought an item during this offer period and was hoping to get the gift as they mentioned.But when i tried to redeem the gift on the gift redemption page,i got the error message ' you are not eligible for this offer'.I contacted the customer support,they told that i am eligible for the offer and advised me to send  an email to inappeals@ebay.in and they would reply within 48 hours.I had mailed them 1 week ago and till now i haven't received a reply from them.When i called the customer support,they told that many members are having this same issue and they are trying to resolve it.Wait many members?or all members????I dont know whether it is a fake marketing trick from ebay to tempt more members to buy boasting about costly gifts and all.I am totally disappointed with this set up from Ebay.
