IFFI 2011 AWARDS PANAJI,GOA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF INDIA AWARDS 2011 COLUMBIAN FILM WINS GOLDEN PEACOCK AWARD

The 42nd International film festival of india concluded in december 3 with the columbian film Porfirio getting the golden peacock award for the best film.The award was given by south indian superstar Surya to the film director Alejandro landes and producer Fransisco Alijure.

It was a proud moment for the malayalam film industry as Salim Ahammed's "Adaminte makan Abu" won  silver peacock,the special jury award.Adaminte makan Abu was infact the only indian film which get nominated.

Best director:Asghar farhadi for the iranian film nadir and simin

Best Actor:Sasson Gabay

Best Actress:Nadezhda markina
